ahhhhh. weddings are so busy. especially since i'm in the house w/ my godfamily (family of the bride) and the bride herself. brief explanation for those who don't know about my unique... "family" situation. one of my best friends is also my godsister. her entire family, aunts, uncles, cousins and all are family friends and not really related to me or my family in anyway, but we may as well be =P. i even get a pretty pink "family member" flower to pin on my dress. craziness. the whole house is so busy. but yay! wedding! got here bright and early in the morning to help out w/ preparations. they made me try on this extremely lacy and pink dress. eek. it's gorgeous... just maybe too much so for me? haha. i think i just have an aversion to very lacy or otherwise very decorative things. i prefer simplicity. i suppose another part of it is that i don't like all the attention...too much. too much picture taking and fuss. oooooh, everyone looks so pretty/handsome =D. i'm going to be tiiiiiired. okie, back to helping/reading. i'm going to get that book back to you soooooon, phoebe.

kids are such silly goobers... like my little sister, for example:

she comes home from school...
"mommy's going to kill me."
i give her a look.
"ok, she's not going to KILL me, but she's gonna be really mad."
"what?"
"i lost my lunchbox. well... i mean i didn't LOSE it, i 'misplaced' it. it's either in the commons, which is the lunch room, or the choir room. it happened somewhere between there... because i have choir after lunch."

haha. silly =p

my exciting day...

trauma of the day:
after church at fbcc today, i went w/ carolyn and some other ppl out to panera. i've only been there once... in my friend's car. and for those of you who have been in a car w/ me enough, you know i don't pay attention to the road when i'm riding. soo... i tell carolyn and she agrees to help me by having me follow her. so we pull out of church and on to highway 6. a little ways down, carolyn starts changing lanes from the rightmost side to the leftmost side, one by one. she'd even looked and made sure there was a nice big gap for me to change lanes into behind her. the first was fine. the second, the big SUV behind carolyn decided it wasn't going to let me change lanes and sped up. i who had already looked briefly next to me and was very intent on staring at carolyn's silver camry and not losing sight of it... forgot to turn and check behind right before veering left to see the big, accelerating SUV. there was no honk but as i completed my lane change i passed the SUV, which was now in the median yellow lane, honking as i passed by. thanks car... for honking after. but at least the driver was alert enough to move their car out of harm's way. *sigh* i don't like driving. unfortunately, getting better at it requires... more driving. =\ doh.

but i can't help but feel that God has really been looking out for me and protecting me this winter break as i've just begun to drive alone. it can only be a miracle that i'm still alive. mmm... so yeah... besides probably making all of you
not to ever want to ride w/ me... hopefully you too can appreciate the fact that you're alive today, at this moment, reading my blog. ... that God has watched over you and kept you safe from all the bad things that could happen and does happen daily. ... and for keeping you away... from crazy drivers like me =p.
