.... you're in the middle of the desert, tired and parched. there's a water pump. next to it is a gallon of water. a sign reads: "this well has never dried up and never failed. to use this pump, however, you must use the entire gallon of water sitting here to prime the well." so... you can either choose to drink just the gallon of water beside the well, or have faith and use up the entire gallon of water in order to drink abundantly from the well.
